We’ve all witnessed shameful plugs – Imagine your watching your favorite movie and, out of no where, the main actor obviously and shamelessly picks up his favorite (or, highest paying) can of soda. Or, imagine you’re watching an interview and the person blatantly mentions the company he works for. We’ve all seen it, some of us have done it and we simply accept it’s gonna happen. Besides, if you were given a spotlight on TV, why not (however in-your-face it might be) plug your company?
Well, this week a Jewelry Store owner took it one step too far. We are referring to a manager at Fire and Ice at the Columbia Mall who, during an interview about the tragic shooting, plugged her company. We’ve linked to the video below so you can see how blatant it was. Now, we are not shameless enough to mention that an online jewelry store would never do this and only a brick-and-mortar jewelry store would. We just know that it’s a delicate line and its important to remain aware of where you try to plug your company. Most importantly, our hearts and prayers go out to anyone affected by the shooting.
